Case study · Rental Depot
One brand. Three local markets.
Local search, ad landing pages, social media, print and in-store video keep a three-location rental brand consistent from Monterey to San Luis Obispo.
The challenge
What needed to change.
A Monterey contractor, a Paso Robles vineyard crew and a San Luis Obispo homeowner search differently. Each Rental Depot store needed to compete locally while the brand stayed consistent. Seasonal brush clearing, construction cycles, weekend projects and holiday closures also demanded timely messaging across all three locations.
Our approach
Built around
the real need.
We connect the local presence of each store to one recognizable brand, then carry that message from search and advertising to the rental counter.
Local search for every store.
We manage a Google Business Profile for each location, with regular posts, photos and updates. Relevant local and topical accounts, profiles and memberships connect each store to its community, including involvement such as sponsoring Taste of Pismo with an aerial lift.
A brand that travels well.
Construction yellow on black and “Rent it. Use it. Get it done.” carry across marketing materials. We developed and apply a consistent brand system across social media, ads, print, landing pages and in-store screens.
Content and campaigns for each audience.
Short equipment videos and posts for Facebook, Instagram and YouTube range from contractor spotlights to weekend DIY and defensible-space reminders. Meta and Google campaigns are targeted by market and audience.
Fast pages with a practical next step.
Lead capture landing pages connect ad clicks to the right equipment, nearest store and a quick way to reserve or call. The mobile experience is designed for someone browsing from a job site. These campaign pages complement Rental Depot’s existing primary website.
Print and the in-store experience.
Retargeting postcards keep the business in front of customers between projects. Lobby videos, banners and in-store collateral introduce equipment and services while customers wait at the counter.
